A Child Shall Lead Them

My favorite book is called "A Child Shall Lead Them" by Diane Komp. This book is about a womens life as a docter taking care of a baby with cancer. This book is more about her finding herself through the baby she is looking after. The baby is the first going through a bone marrow transplant, which people are usnsure will work. This is about her faith-affirming experiance. How she finds joy and faith in terminally-ill children. She learns more about life and how much she has, and what these little kids are going throught. This book really makes you take a second look on life and how lucky we are. I like this book because I battled cancer myself so it relates to me. It makes me thing again how lucky I am to be here, and to never take anything for granted.

Miracle

The adjective that best describes me would be miracle. The reason this adjective describes me is because I survived cancer, have no side effects from all of the treatment I received, and I give hope to many family’s. I survived a rare and most deadly childhood cancer called neuroblastoma. This makes me a miracle because rarely kids survive. I had 9 rounds of harsh chemotherapy, radiation, and bone marrow removed. My parents knew the side effects this could have given my body, but it was worth the risk for my survival. This makes me even more of a miracle that I went through all that treatment yet I’m still like any other person my age, playing all the sports I can. I am also a miracle to other families because of the hope I can bring them. This makes me feel very good about myself, because of my journey I am that miracle they are looking for. After all I’ve been through I like to consider myself a miracle

EHS Hall of Fame

EHS Alumni Molly H. class of 2011, researcher. Molly's discovery is one of the biggest discovers ever and most likely forever. She found a way to kill all cancer cells, which yes is the cure to cancer. A thing no one thought possible was made possible by Molly's long hard research project. Molly graduated from EHS at the top of her class. She was always a hard working student willing to try new things. She was in the science fair every year of her highschool carrer, winning her senior year. Her favorite subject was always science, she loved working with chemicals. She always was trying new mixtures to see what would happen. I think it was her creative mind that led her to this great discovery. Molly is also a cancer survivor herself and this was her drive to find the cure. Molly was never afraid to try new things, I think she was the one to find the cure because she would try things others wouldn't dare. Molly has saved the lives of many, and thanks to her the world will no longer worry about that scary "C" word cancer.
